Agreement
By using the Xyber One website or mobile app (together, the “Service”) you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country if higher. If you use Xyber One for an employer or school, you confirm you may accept these terms on their behalf.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details safe. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been accessed without permission.
- Pick a username that is not offensive and does not impersonate anyone.
What the Service is, and is not
Xyber One is an educational product. Lessons, quizzes, scenarios, challenges, assessments and the AI Tutor help you learn and measure your readiness.
- We do not guarantee a job, an interview, a promotion or a certification outcome.
- A Xyber One certificate shows your performance in our in-app Skill Assessment. It is not an accredited qualification or a third-party certification.
- AI Tutor answers can be wrong. Check important facts against authoritative sources.
- Role descriptions, tools and certifications mentioned are for guidance only.
Acceptable use
When you use the Service you agree not to:
- Use what you learn, or anything in the Service, to attack, probe or harm systems you do not own or have written permission to test. All practical content is simulated and sandboxed.
- Cheat or manipulate leaderboards, streaks or assessments, including by sharing assessment questions or answers.
- Try to extract the AI Tutor's instructions, bypass its safeguards or ask it for help attacking real systems.
- Copy, scrape, resell or redistribute our content at scale without our written permission.
- Interfere with the Service, reverse engineer it except as the law allows, or upload malware.
- Harass others or post unlawful, hateful or misleading content in profiles or any community feature.
Free and Premium plans
Xyber One has a free tier and a paid Premium tier. Features, limits and prices are shown in the app and on our pricing page.
- Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings, before the renewal date.
- Refunds follow the policy of the store you bought from, and any rights you have under consumer law.
- We may change prices or plan contents going forward and will tell you before a change affects your renewal.
Our content and your content
Xyber One and its licensors own the Service, including lessons, questions, illustrations and the Xyber One name and logo. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own learning.
You keep ownership of what you submit, such as your profile and messages. You give us a licence to host and display it as needed to run the Service, and to use feedback you send to improve it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or retire features and content, and will give notice of changes that significantly affect paying users.
Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or the law, or to protect other users. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply will survive.
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, and Xyber One is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or opportunities.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory rights as a consumer where you live.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws that apply to Xyber One's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law of your country of residence applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
